The Spanish meetup is going ahead next Tuesday. We will meet at the gate at 17.30, and then go on to The Little Tin Soldier (El soldadito de plomo).
I went a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. There were only three of us from the marina, and three Spanish folk, including Vera and another guide who is an expert historian on all things Spanish. We conversed in each others language and discussed local and national matters. I wouldn’t see this as ‘lessons’ as such but if you have the appetite to learn then there are certainly people there willing to teach. Similarly, if your Spanish is rather rudimentary (like mine!) then that’s just fine and you will have the opportunity to learn more about the local area, culture, politics, history etc. I really enjoyed this part of the night.
All it will cost you is the price of your beer or coffee etc.
If possible please let me know if you’re coming along, firstname.lastname@example.org but feel free to just turn up on the night if your plans change.
